Useful Termux Commands

Search packages:  $ pkg search <query>
Install a package: $ pkg install <package>
Update packages: $ pkg update or $ apt update
Upgrade packages: $ pkg upgrade or $ apt upgrade
Learn more: $ pkg help
Usage: pkg command [arguments]


A tool for managing packages. Commands:

$ pkg  files <packages>
$ pkg  install <packages>
$ pkg  list-all
$ pkg  list-installed
$ pkg  reinstall <packages>
$ pkg  search <query>
$ pkg  show <packages>
$ pkg  uninstall <packages>
$ pkg  upgrade

list Directory: $ ls
see folder: $ cd <folder name>
Back: $ cd ..
Remove folder: $ rm -rf <folder name>
Clear Screen: $ clear
Exit Termux app: $ exit
Stop Job: $ logout

See IP address of any website: $ ping example.com
Telnet: $ telnet

Active Internet connections (w/o servers): $ netstat
$ netstat --help

Usage: netstat [-ral] [-tuwx] [-enWp]

Display networking information

$ netstat -r      Routing table
$ netstat -a      All sockets
$ netstat -l      Listening sockets
                Else: connected sockets
$ netstat -t      TCP sockets
$ netstat -u      UDP sockets
$ netstat -w      Raw sockets
$ netstat -x      Unix sockets
                Else: all socket types
$ netstat -e      Other/more information
$ netstat -n      Don't resolve names
$ netstat -W      Wide display
$ netstat -p      Show PID/program name for sockets
